Janice Verleta Hoogstraat

Janice Verleta Hoogstraat age 79, of Conklin, MI died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Janice was born on March 10, 1933 in Chester Township, MI to the late Edward and Esme Rose (D’oyly) Kelly. She married Fredrick J. Hoogstraat and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1969. Janice is survived by: 1 Daughter: Kendra (Bruce) Eichholtz of Conklin, 1 Step Daughter: Patsy Saladino of Arizona and Step Son: Larry (Sandy) Hoogstraat of S. Carolina Gary, Kylie, Donny and other grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren: Emma and Lillienn. 3 Brothers: Norrell Kelly of Houghton Lake, Edward (Marian) Kelly and Raymond (Jo Kay) Kelly both of Conklin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Janice was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband Fredrick, Step Daughter: Bev Kelly and 1 Granddaughter: Denise, 1 Niece Terri. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Conklin Reformed Church at 2:00pm with Pastor Steve VanderWoude officiating. Burial will be at McNitt Cemetery. The family will be at the church 1 hour prior to service to greet friends. Memorials may be directed to the family or Hospice of Holland. Go to: www.throopfhravenna.com to sign the online guestbook. sorry to heard about Aunt Janice. she was one very special lady and I am glad to know her. now she is no longer in pain and with her family and friends. always remember she is just a voice away. prayers and ((((hugs)))) for you and your family at this time.

Kendra, So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. We have wonderful memories of her. She is in good Heavenly company though with my Grandma Margaret, Grandpa Joe and Aunt Helen. We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Janice. She was our neighbor and a mighty fine one at that. We will always remember her infectious laugh and her gift of Irish whiskey when Ed plowed her driveway. Rest in peace Janice. You are in a much better place.
