Edna Helena Johnston age 100, of Twin Lake, Michigan died Saturday, July 9, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Edna was born on December 26, 1921 in Marquette, Michigan to the late Sylvester and Hilma (Pietila) Kantola. She married Ralph Herbert Johnston on August 17, 1946 in Ravenna, MI. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2005. She was a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ and gave of herself generously for His kingdom, for her family and for those around her. She had great love for children and deeply enjoyed sharing her life with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Edna is survived by 3 Sons: Gary (Teri) Johnston of Highland, MI. Richard (Nancy) Johnston of Twin Lake, and Philip (Heather) Johnston of Ohio. 2 Daughters: Carolyn (Peeter) Lucas of Bath, MI and Jeanette Johnston of Montague. 16 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. 2 Sisters: Gertrude Veeneman of Coopersville and Elizabeth Campbell of Greenville. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Ralph, 2 Sons: Dennis and Brian Johnston. 5 Brothers: Arthur, Alfred, Rudolph, Willard and Arnold. 2 Sisters: Eunice Volkers and Gladys Rodgers.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Steve VanderWoude officiating. Burial will be in Moorland Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service to greet friends.

You have been a true blessing to Aunt Edna. As you try to find your "new normal" for your days ahead, take your time to rest, reflect and take care of yourselves. You all showed the light of Jesus in difficult times, let Him be your guiding light moving forward. ❤️
