Chris was admired and loved by everyone at the Clubhouse. His spirited personality and the positivity he brought to us will be greatly missed, not to mention his wonderful smile! He always had an upbeat outlook on life and offered a good story to anyone with a listening ear. Our thoughts are with the Vanderwest family.

I have known Chris 27 years. I will remember him as a very kind, compassionate person who enjoyed making others laugh. I am glad I had the privilege to know him.

So sad for your loss. I've known Chris for over 11 years. He has always been a kind man, and he always seemed to be able to make people laugh. I know he often talked about "Mom", so even though it's a double heartbreak for your family, I believe it's a blessing for Chris, that Mom is in Heaven, there to welcome him home. ((hugs))

I am so sorry for the double loss in the family. It is a lot to take but God knows what he is doing. We hope he does any way. God be with you and yours.

My condolences to the Family. I have known Chris for the past 30 years and always enjoyed talking with him. He was a very compassionate, sensitive man with a great sense of humor.

I had a special place in my heart for Chris. I've known him for a long time and he was just such a kind and gentle person. He would frequently talk about his family. Know that he cared for you a great deal. Your family is in my prayers in the loss of both Chris and your mother.

Hey Brother, Leave it to you to make it convenient and to be with mom. I was looking forward to having more time to spend with you now that mom is in heaven but alas you shocked us. Will so miss our Thursday visits and drives to duck lake. So happy for you though. Love & prayers Linda
