Richard Keith Stanton age 85 of Palm Bay, Florida died, Thursday August 12, 2021, awaiting the return of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Richard was born in Reed City, MI to Joseph and Delsie (Sibary) Stanton on June 1, 1936. He grew up in the small town of Luther, MI along side his 5 brothers; Dale, Boyd, Donald, Ronald, Lyle and loving parents. The family eventually moved to Muskegon, MI, where he met his loving wife Marilynn (Kern) Stanton and was married September 8, 1956 in Muskegon. They, with God’s amazing guidance, raised four healthy children; Bradley, Bryan, Debra “Deb Ann” and Wade. Richard was a meticulous, methodical and hard working family man, raising his family of 6 in the small town of Ravenna, MI, as he felt it was of high importance to give his children the country life. Whenever anyone needed help, he was always there to assist with that kind, gentle, and what seemed like a forever smile. It is likely that anyone who knew Rich, benefited from his willingness to offer his impeccable talents, ideas or assistance. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his loving wife Marilynn of 65 years; sons Bradley (Donna Slater) Stanton, Bryan (Jan Randles) Stanton, Wade Stanton, and daughter Debra (Stanton) Shaw. Grandchildren; Tara (Michael) Cooper, Brandy (Heath) Roye, Rachel (Jason) Blackwell, Joshua Arnold, Laura (Joshua) Rietman. Great grandchildren; Cameron Cooper, Parker Roye, Everly Blackwell, many nieces and nephews as well as so many other loving and caring family members. The service for Richard will be a graveside service on Thursday August 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Casnovia Cemetery; Casnovia, Michigan with Pastor Larry Kirkpatrick officiating from the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Arrangements by Throop Funeral Home; 3580 Thomas Street; Ravenna, MI 49451. Light Luncheon for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the American Legion Hall; 3590 Conklin, Street; Ravenna, MI 49451
