James Robert Gretzinger age 82, of Grand Rapids, MI died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Zeeland Community Hospital in Zeeland. James was born on January 15, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John and Effie M. (Beach) Gretzinger. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He married Pamela Rae (Cross) Gretzinger on August 6, 1967 in Saginaw, MI. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2004. James is survived by: 2 Sons: Kurt (Sandra) Gretzinger of Brown City, Brian (Lauri Allore) Gretzinger of Grand Rapids, 1 Daughter: Lisa (Steven) Clapp of Conklin. 3 Grandchildren: Temple (Krista) Clapp, Megan (Jeff) Poll and Kevin Pavlo and 3 Great Grandchildren: Brendon, Madison and Reagan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded by his parents, Wife Pamela, Brother: Jack, 2 Sisters: Joan Mero and Janice Jenkins. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 1:00pm at North Chester Baptist Church in Casnovia with Pastor Adam Hubbartt officiating. The family will meet friends at the church from 11:00am until the time of service. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in West Branch. Memorials may be directed to: Wounded Warriors.
