Obituary

Rosetta Helen Borgula age 87, of Cadillac, MI formally of Ravenna, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior. Thursday, October 8, 2020. Rose was born on December 25, 1932 in Cadillac, MI to the late Clyde E. and Lucile I. (Ripley) Wing. She graduated Cadillac High School in 1951. Married Larry Hunt and lived in Muskegon and Ravenna. Larry died after 20 years of marriage. Rosetta after several years single married Lawrence Borgula and they farmed the family farm in Casnovia. They were married for 35 years until he passed away in 2013. After selling the farm she moved back to Cadillac in the fall of 2013. Rosetta committed her life to the Lord at a young age and it showed in the many ways she gave to charities and helped people throughout her life. She enjoyed being a secret Santa leaving love gifts of necessities on doorsteps of the needy in her community at Christmas. In younger years she loved gardening, canning, and baked the best pies around. Rosetta’s two children Chad E. Hunt and Lisa A. (Hunt) Blanchette took care of their mother along with help from Michigan Hospice who were so caring and kind. Rosetta is survived by son: Chad E. Hunt, daughter: Lisa A. Blanchette, Sisters Shirley L. (Walt) Augustat, Nancy L. (Glen) Nolf, Brothers: Hersel W. (Mary) Wing, and Roger B. (Carolyn) Wing. Rosetta has nine living grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren, Numerous Step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Larry Hunt and Lawrence Borgula, her oldest son Patrick L. Hunt, and oldest daughter Debra J. (William) Burns, grandsons Scott Burns, Aaron Preston, granddaughter Brittany Blanchette, and sister Phyllis J. (Calvin) Bickel. Rosetta was a member of North Chester Baptist Church while living in the Casnovia area, and also attended Harvest Bible Baptist Church in Conklin, MI. Upon moving to Cadillac she became a member of Grace Community Bible Church and there will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 12:15pm at St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery in Ravenna with Pastor Hersel Wing officiating. The family will greet friends and family at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
